About Mr. Schauberger |
|
As Dean of Students, Mr. Schauberger brings his leadership skills, passion for lifelong learning, and teaching experience to DCHS. He is committed to serving DC students, families, and staff. His goals include the establishment of clear communication and the constant maintenance of effective relationships with all people. His duties include monitoring student attendance, discipline, test coordination, bus behavior, advising the high school student council, the FLY student mentorship and lunchroom supervision. He facilitates a wide array of student services at DCHS including but not limited to building safety and security, student parking and youth retreat programs. He assists in the planning and implementation of special events such as homecoming, prom, staff development, the mock car crash program and student surveys.
Mr. Schauberger earned his Bachelor of Science in German (secondary ed. teaching certification) and a minor degree in International Relations from St. Cloud State University. He taught German I-IV for fifteen years. He earned his Master of Arts in Teaching and his Minnesota K-12 Principal License from St. Mary’s University in Minneapolis. A day does not pass by in which Mr. Schauberger forgets what it is like to be a student, a teacher or a parent. This perspective helps him focus on the vital needs of those that he serves at DCHS.
Mr. Schauberger’s family is very important to him. His interests and hobbies include history, traveling, cooking/baking, listening to all genres of music, going to the movies, and staying young. He is an advocate for the role of world languages and gifted/talented instruction in the big picture of a basic education.
Mr. Schauberger is committed to and involved with DC families/students in setting high and challenging expectations (achievement) for all students in the areas of academics, activities, attendance, and attitude. It is critical to set a balance between these four facets of student life in order to create a school culture that is positive and engages everyone to reach their full potential. |
