D-C Middle School
Technology
"Together We're Better"
The Middle School strives to implement technology that enhances instruction and student learning experiences. Every classroom is equipped with a network computer that is connected to a mounted projector and digital whiteboard. Four networked computer labs provide students opportunties to access a variety of local educational and production software as well to as acess to an abundance of valuable online resources.
The Media Department coordinates the technology plan. Our technology mission is to:
- Integrate technology skills that are based on the MEMO, ISTE and state standards into the district's PreK-12 curriculum and instruction so that students are technologically literate by the time they leave the middle school and are able to apply appropriate technology as needed to meet educational, career, and personal goals upon graduation.
- Equip and train all teachers, administrators, and staff with the technological tools and skills required to improve the quality and effectiveness of instructional and administrative responsibilities.
- Provide the district communities with a vehicle for communication and parental involvement as well as provide a model for the use of emerging technology.
In order to help obtain this mission, the media center staff actively seek opportunities to apply for grants in order to further integrate technology. Following are grants awarded to DCMS:
