ANNUAL FUNDRAISERS
The Media Center staff coordinate the following fundraisers to raise the funds used to support the Reading Counts Program:
Milk Tops
The Media program also earns $.05 per Kemps and Land O' Lakes milk tops. In 2008-2009 we raised over $150. For every milk top students bring in, they earn a chance to win cash prizes.
General Mills Boxtops Fundraiser
The Media program gets between $.10 to .15 per General Mills Boxtop for Education Label. In 2008-09 we raised over $750. For every Box Tops label students bring in, they earn a chance to win cash prizes.
Printer Cartridge and Cell Phone Recycling Fundraiser
The Media program also earns points for printer cartridges and old cell phone it collects. In 2008-09 we earned close to $1250. This program is also beneficial to the environment as the cartridges and phones are recycled rather than thrown away. For every inkjet and laser cartridge students bring in, they also earn a chance for cash prizes.
Target Charge Card Fundraiser
Target stores donate 1% of their charge card sales to the district designated by the card holder. In 2007-08 school year, the Middle School received over $750 in checks from Target. Please visit Target customer service to designated our school to receive the 1% return on your charges.
